Hello friends! I hope you all are enjoying your summer so far! My two boys have been keeping me busy but I was finally able to photograph this living room over the weekend. I got to style and furnish this room for a friend who recently moved into his house in Houston. It was a new construction home, so the room needed everything (including blinds). You may remember his master bedroom reveal here. He loved the master bedroom so much that he wanted to use the same colors and style in his living room. Although most of the furniture is modern, I used a lot of different textures and prints to make this room feel comfortable and inviting. Take a look at the pictures and let me know what you think! Although we got a new sofa and love seat for the living room, we used the leather chair from his previous house as an accent in the corner. I think the brown leather is a nice compliment to the gray upholstered sofas. Remember, not all of your furniture has to match exactly! Since he really likes the black/gray/white color scheme, I kept things pretty neutral and added pops of color with the fig tree in the corner, and the succulents on the tables. You can find this fig tree here. One of my favorite things in this room is this little accent table on the side. Of course it's the perfect spot to put your beverage, but what I love is it's shape and color. You can also see the new woven blinds that were installed on the windows. This was another way I added some warmth to the room. As you can see, he is serious about his electronics! To take some of the focus off the tv, I added some framed succulent prints to the wall and a few accessories on the media console. Can I tell you how much I love with this rug from West Elm?! The colors are perfect for his space, and the pattern keeps it interesting. The patchwork print even goes well with the media console (which we found on Overstock). We bought this in the 8' x 10' size to help define the living space. Fun fact about the coffee table is that it actually opens up to store your blankets, mail, or other items that create clutter. While it's open you can also use it as a tray to work on, or eat on if you're in the middle of watching a game. I found this clock on clearance at Pier 1 and I like how the copper accents tie in with the copper side table. No room is complete without a candle so I found this one from Manly Indulgence that is perfect for this bachelor pad. And, because everyone loves a good before & after, here is a shot of the living room when he moved in. Another transformation complete by AMI! I hope you enjoyed it and look forward to sharing my next project with you!

Absolutely beautiful, the clock and rug are my favorites! Are the succulents real? Another unique ALI creation!
