Summer is winding down at our house and we are getting ready for school to start. I've been trying to squeeze in a few more fun activities for the boys, and while we were in Houston this week I snapped a few pictures of a bedroom remodel I recently completed. This room needed some major T.L.C. including paint, carpet, doors, fixtures, blinds and furniture. Here is a picture I took after the new ceiling fan was installed:
The bedroom is 10' x 10' so it was important to keep things light and bright to make the room feel bigger.
We used sheer curtains to let in as much light as possible, and mounted the TV on the wall opposite of the bed.
This nightstand has just enough space for your remotes, reading glasses, books and more.
We upgraded the blinds to a 2" premium faux wood in antique white. The chest of drawers are a family heirloom so it was important to keep them in the room.
We painted the walls Sherwin Williams Balanced Beige to match the rest of the house.
Before, the chest was in front of the window blocking all of the light. I love how the light shines through now. It makes such a difference!
The basket is great for storage but it also adds some texture to the room.
I love when candles smell good and look pretty! Full list of sources below.
Enjoy the rest of your summer and keep checking the blog for more bedroom transformations!
