Bathroom Remodel in Pebble Creek

Today I'm sharing pictures from our boys' bathroom remodel!  This room had a complete transformation and I'm actually a little sad that it's not my bathroom!  When we bought our new house, this room was a top priority for us.  Remember that our house is older now so the bathroom had short cabinets, cultured marble shower, etc.  The previous owner had tried to update it by adding granite counters, but we just weren't feeling it and thought it would be easier to start fresh.  So we completely gutted the bathroom and below is our finished product!

One of my favorite things we added is the cabinet over the toilet.  This adds SO much storage for us!  Since this bathroom is for our boys, we chose a stained cabinet to make it feel more masculine.  Then we picked a white quartz counter that has some light grey veining.

For the shower, we took the tile all the way up to the ceiling and also raised the shower head by about a foot.  This makes the ceiling feel so much taller!  We also added a light above the tub which makes it brighter.  There are no windows in this room so I didn't want it to feel like a cave.

I love the combination of chrome and oil rubbed bronze!  We used chrome for the faucets, towel and toilet paper holders.  Then we used oil rubbed bronze for the lighting, door and cabinet hardware.  I feel like there is a nice balance of light and dark in the room.

Since this bathroom will also be used by our guests, I wanted it to feel more spa-like and less colorful.  The embroidered curtain and towels add a personal touch and make it feel like home.

Our shower is stocked and ready for guests!  We added this niche to hold all of our soap and bottles.  A shower niche is a great place to add some fun tile, but this time I opted to keep things simple.

I thought it would be fun to use these wall sconces instead of the traditional vanity lights.  I will warn that they don't give off as much light, but that's not a problem because we added a few recessed lights too.  I just love how bold and unique they are!  Much better than the light box we had before!

Overall, their bathroom feels bigger, brighter and clean!  The tile and grout colors go so well together and we are so happy with how everything turned out!

As always, I've included some before pictures.  Which do you like better?  I would love to hear your thoughts!

Removing the shower doors made a huge difference and makes the bathroom look so much better. I am always honest with you in your remodeling and haven't yet found something that I disliked. I may never!?!
