In here I really did keep it pretty simple. I made the sign above the range out of a tea towel from H&M and some wood trim from Lowes. Total cost was less than $10!
Hi everyone! Since Christmas is my absolute favorite holiday, I thought it would be fun to put together a small home tour to show you what it looks like this time of year! For the decorations this year, I was inspired by a throw pillow of a vintage Woody and tree strapped on top of the car. I wanted our house to have a somewhat rustic and cozy feel, while also trying to keep it simple and clean. Scroll through the pictures below to see what transpired! When you walk in the door, the first thing you'll see is this chair and our Christmas tree lit up behind it. This is our first year to put the tree in that spot and I love how you can see it from the street. I wish I had a picture of that because it looks so pretty! Just a few subtle changes in the entry way like the red pot and some wrapped packages in the baskets. Our most recent house project was adding the white board and batten to the walls and we think it adds so much character to the space! One of my favorite childhood memories is wrapping presents with my grandmother and adding trinkets to every package. Every. Single. Package. So naturally I do that to all of mine as well! This is a picture of our tree looking into the entry and office. I'm off to a good start on my Christmas shopping, but still have a few things to get! Our mantel might be my favorite part of the house! I made this deer silhouette out of scrapbook paper (which reminds me to put a Silhouette Cameo on my Christmas list) and found this Joy marquee sign at Hobby Lobby. More pictures of the packages because it brings back so many good memories. Taking the time to use ribbon and trinkets really does make them special and fun to look at. I got a few new throw pillows from H&M this year. They are super affordable but you have to order online. Our new H&M in Post Oak Mall does not carry home goods. I found this out after dragging both boys to the mall with me! On to the kitchen...... In here I really did keep it pretty simple. I made the sign above the range out of a tea towel from H&M and some wood trim from Lowes. Total cost was less than $10! I've always had pantry items on display in the upper cabinets, but thought it would be fun to switch them out with some Christmas items like this gingerbread cookie mix and Electric Reindeer chardonnay I found at World Market. The cabinets on the right are holding a gingerbread house kit, Shiner Cheer and some Moose Munch. I'm pretty sure we'll get some good use out of these items. They are not just for decoration! In our dining area, I added some Christmas plates to our hutch and some mini banners to our hanging baskets. This little tree is actually rosemary that I can plant after Christmas. It smells so good! And finally we have the mudroom. I love to decorate this little space because it's such a cute little nook in our house and also gets the most traffic. I feel like every house should have an area like this to drop your bags, shoes, etc. Thank you so much for stopping by my blog! I hope you enjoyed looking at the pictures and of course have a very, merry Christmas!
